Jasmine Rice With Chicken In Sweet Chili Sauce Recipe


Sweet and spicy rice with chicken and veggies recipe for lunch or dinner😋

What you will need:

3 chicken breasts ( I had it pre-cooked – cut and fried with salt, black pepper and garlic powder), 2 cups of jasmine or regular rice.









A bottle of sweet chili sauce, 4-5 mushrooms, a half of medium size sweet onion, a half of green bell pepper, a half of orange (or any kind of sweet) bell pepper.











How to make it:

Place 2 cups of rice and 4 cups of water in a medium size pot.












Cover and bring to boil on high heat. Keep an eye on it, once it’s boiling turn heat to low and simmer for 20-25 mins, checking frequently, because it might start overflowing from time to time.






It’s done when all the water is absorbed. Turn off the heat and keep it covered.











Cut all the vegetables, start frying on olive oil.













Add seasonings. I added basil leaves, parsley flakes, black and white peppers, minced onion, salt, a little bit of crushed red pepper flakes.








Fry veggies over medium heat until soft, then add chicken. If you didn’t have it pre-cooked, then fry chicken first, then add veggies to the pot and cook together until done.






Add the whole bottle of sauce, stir.













Cover and simmer on medium low heat for 10 mins.












Uncover and stir again.














Add rice.














Stir all together.














Serve and enjoy😋😉
